McGorman Officially Opens Accordion

Jim McGorman is happy to announce the opening of Accordion, a production company located in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania. Accordion will produce commercials, web content and short films.

As a director at SBK Pictures, Jim directed national and regional commercials that are distinguished by his love of storytelling and natural dialogue. Jim started his career as an ad agency copywriter and producer, which is reflected in his script-to-screen involvement in many projects.

Also joining Accordion as Executive Producer is Jim Huie, who brings over ten years of experience in production and post-production at The End and Material Edit, and most recently at SBK Pictures.

“Jim Huie and I have worked together for nine years as a creative resource for clients in need of smart production ideas and solutions,” said McGorman. “Accordion provides clients with a proven team of professionals, who bring integrity and enthusiasm to every project, whatever its scope or budget.”

Jim McGorman is also a musician and the director of two documentary films, Straight to the Top and A Taste of Nate; the latter screened at national and international film festivals and won Best Documentary at FirstGlance Hollywood.

Jim is the son of the late Jennie Ciarrocchi, tenth child in a South Philadelphia family, who gave Jim an accordion at the age of five.
